Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF
MSF is funded by more than 6 million donors whose support is crucial to provide medical aid whenever and wherever it is needed most. The fundraising (FR) team at MSF International Office (IO) provides coordination, information and support to the 34 countries where MSF is raising funds.
MSF has an international intranet based in SharePoint online (Pamoja) that provides a common repository and collaborative workspaces for international working groups.
The international fundraising community has a portal in Pamoja for information, knowledge sharing and collaboration among fundraisers all over the world. This Portal is a core element of the FR knowledge sharing ecosystem. It’s not only a repository for strategic and practical information but also an entry point to the FR ‘Communities of Practice’, the TEAMS chats, the FR video stream channel or the Media Data Base. The Intranet technician is part of the International FR Team. He/she reports to the Fundraising Capacity Building manager and officer (depending on the project). He/she works closely with the owners of the Sites in Pamoja (the WGs Sponsors) and the Pamoja Support team at the international office.
The purpose of the Intranet technician is to assist the Fundraising Capacity Building Team on a project to redesign, develop and set the maintenance of the fundraising portal, in order to make it more intuitive, easy to use and flexible, as well as more integrated with the whole FR knowledge-sharing ecosystem, and other MSF platforms like communications, operations, medical, etc.
